When creating an artist profile, you can get the notification that the artist name has already been claimed. Sometimes it may happen that a band name is already taken by an other user, for one of the following reasons:
You’ve previously had an account to which you have linked your band page.
In this case try to make sure if you are logged in with the correct account. Double check if you’re using the correct e-mail address or Google account.
Another user already claimed a page with the same name.
This occurrence is rare, but not impossible. In this case we suggest to double check if there is a possibility that there are bands with the same name as yours. If this isn’t the case, then you can claim the band.
Your band mate has claimed the page already.
You can claim the band too. You will both be admin of the artist profile.
To claim a band just click ‘add me as an admin’ and give prove that you’re in the band you try to claim
MORE THAN ONE BAND/ARTIST WITH THE SAME NAME
If you encounter the issue that you see another band/artist with the same name being suggested by the system, you should NOT claim this profile. If a band/artist has already been played on our stream, data has been collected automatically and is stored under this profile. If you connect your band/act to this profile, the data will get mixed up.
Please add something to your band name to create a unique name for your artist profile by for example adding Band or NL or Official etc. (you can put your ‘regular’ band name in the biography) So as an example you can go for an artist profiel called ‘Band Name Official’ or ‘Name Band’ or ‘Band Name NL’.
