Instrumentation
It is a plug-in Showcase festival. So the backline is already there. See the backline list.
Due to the expected crowds, it is therefore not possible to bring your own amplifiers or drums. Just bring your instrument, plug in and bang. That’s the idea, so:
Guitarists: just your guitar, pedals and cables.
Drummers: just your snare, cymbals and your beater (there are no cymbals!)
Bassists: just your bass, pedals and cables.
Keyboards: only your keyboard, pedal, stand and cables (there are no keyboard stands)
Wind instruments: just your horn.
Showtime
Make sure you are on time. At least an hour before you have to get up. It’s nice to see the other bands, but it’s also relaxed when you don’t have to stress. Just because the traffic is against you or you get lost. You have to give the concert of your life!!! The change over can also be done quickly because of the backline that’s already there. Make sure you are at your “stage” on time. Check in in advance to see how to handle the change overs. Only carry instruments in the stage hall when the other band is finished. Make sure you get off stage again quickly…
Instrument storage
We have reserved spaces to leave your instruments when you don’t have to play. Each stage has its own storage. Ask the stage manager on site. Those areas are unguarded, so you leave everything there at your own risk. The experience learned that nothing has ever been lost, but you never know. Tip: Bring a padlock to join your instrument cases… ;-).
Own sound engineer
Can’t miss one! Bring your own. Make sure you do everything you can to make the most out of it with everything you have. The type of mixer is listed in the backline list.
Photo and camera people
Of course, make as much good promo content as possible. You can use it later to become world famous!! So put them on your guest list and bring them with you!!
Changing rooms
There are none. There is also no backstage because of the enormous enthusiasm and number of bands and musicians that come to play.
Water on stage
When you’re playing, there are bottles of water available on stage. Other consumptions are at your own expense.
Guest list
Each band can put 10 people on their guest list. This is excluded band members and band manager. Each claimed band has received an email with the explanation + personal band code for claiming the guest list spots. Have you not received this yet? Claim your band and you will receive it automatically. Your guests should be completed in the last week, so we know how many people we can count on. If more people want to see you, you can get extra guest list places via www.Pinguinradio.com. IMPORTANT: Have people ever said to you “keep me posted”? Invite them! Don’t be afraid to invite other “important people!!” too.
Promo
Create as much buzz around this festival as possible. So when it becomes such a success, everyone who wasn’t there experiences a real fomo. So share the time schedule, make stories, and post till you drop with #QandAfest
Staff members
Everyone who contributes to this festival does so voluntarily. So the fact that this crazy event can exist is due to people (who don’t necessarily make music themselves) putting their time and effort into the Q&A Showcase Festival. If there is something that is not to your liking, report it. Please, keep it manageable and solvable for everyone!

Where is the Q&A Showcase festival?
In the basement of the Q-Factory, Atlantisplein 1, 1093 NE Amsterdam.
Eat Drink
There is a cafe and restaurant on the ground floor. They take the expected attendance into account! This is of course at your own expense.
Travel and parking
Very convenient to get there by train. Muiderpoort station is a 7-minute walk away. The times of the festival have been chosen in such a way that everyone from all over the Netherlands can arrive on time by train and also go home.
By car: There is a parking garage 30 meters away. Not accessible for vehicles higher than 2 meters. This is useful because your car is close by and safe in terms of camera surveillance.

Merchandise
You can sell your band merch on the ground floor, in the hall where you enter. Up to an hour after your show, you can claim a spot here. You can see how that works on the spot.
